Book Summary
On July 27, 2004, a little-known state senator from Illinois burst onto the
national stage by delivering one of the most electrifying keynote addresses
ever heard at a presidential nominating convention. Since then, Barack Obama
has become one of the Democratic Party's most prominent figures.
His political and intellectual gifts are extraordinary, but it is Obama's unusual
background and life story that have most intrigued American voters. This book
chronicles his journey from Hawaii and Indonesia to Harvard University Law School,
the streets of Chicago's South Side, and the halls of Congress.
